Bobbi Boes, the philanthropist

 

- is the Founding President for The Theater Foundation which is dedicated to creating opportunities to develop and enhance quality performing arts.

Her favorite outreach is ArtsConnection, that brings 4,000 students a year to experience the performing arts on no-cost field trips.

The Foundation has funded over $1,000,000 to help build and improve the Old Town Temecula Community Theater.

Raised over $600,000 to provide affordable access to the performing arts.

Bobbi Boes, the writer

 

- is an award-winning writer and recipient of the Samuel Goldwyn Writing Award for her screenplay, Sacramento.. Her screenplay,  White Trash Cooking received the Bridget and Bob Colleary Award for Best Romantic Comedy, a Screenwriting Diversity Award, as well as the Stephen Gershenson Award.   HALF LIFE, the tale of Irene Curie, was a finalist in the Sloan competition.

Boes created the TWO ROADS interactive television series, wrote the pilot, Dead as a Donor, and served as Head writer for two seasons for Charisma TV Productions.

Her stage and multi-media theatrical productions include : R.I.P. Tales, the dark side of Old Town,;Necromancer, a screenplay adapted for stage; and the ever-evolving Nutcracker-The Mousical.

Books include The Nutcracker Retold - Nuts to You!; The Faeries of Beverly Glen; Bon Dia, Y'all!  She is currently working on The G'ma Goerzen Stories, a children's off beat series.

Boes served as Assistant Producer for two seasons of the UCLA ‘next’ television magazine program in Los Angeles .

Boes taught Screenwriting, Film, and Video, with experience at Osher and all three levels of the California higher education system. She now offers writing help in her Writer's Room.  Boes holds an M.F.A. in Screenwriting from UCLA and a B.A. in Literature and Creative Writing.  She is a member of the Writers Guild of America, West, the Dramatists Guild and ASCAAP.
